ta-form verb + あとで

Explanation

あとで means doing something after another event has finished.

Usage

Use the た-form before あとで; for nouns, use noun + のあとで.

Example

授業のあとで、先生に質問しました。

I asked the teacher a question after class.

Common Mistake

Do not omit の after a noun: say 授業のあとで.
