場所に + いらっしゃる

Explanation

いらっしゃる is the honorific form of いる, 来る, and 行く.

Usage

The polite form is いらっしゃいます. Shop staff often say いらっしゃいませ.

Example

社長は会議室にいらっしゃいます。

The company president is in the meeting room.

Common Mistake

Do not use it to say where you yourself are; it honors someone else.

Memory Tip

One honorific verb covers be, come, and go.
