Explanation

I-adjectives end in い and can directly modify nouns or act as predicates.

Usage

The negative form is くない, and the past form is かった.

Example

この店のケーキは甘いです。

The cake at this shop is sweet.

Common Mistake

Do not add だ after a present affirmative i-adjective.

Ending in い and directly modifying nouns are key features of i-adjectives.
