Marks the starting point of a time, place, or range, meaning 'from here.'

Often pairs with まで to mean from...to....

授業は九時から始まります。

Class starts at nine.

Do not confuse it with causal から; the starting-point use usually follows a noun.

Think of から as the starting line.
