さも + 句子 / さも + adjective

Shows that something appears as if it were truly the case, or that a state is very evident.

Often pairs with ように or そうに to show pretending or appearing as if.

彼はさも前から知っていたかのように説明した。

He explained it as if he had known it all along.

Do not confuse it with さもないと; standalone さも often means 'as if truly so.'

The surface performance looks as if it were real.
