masu-stem verb + たいと思う

たいと思う is softer than directly saying たい and expresses one's wish or plan.

It follows a verb stem and is common when stating plans or intentions.

卒業したら、日本で働きたいと思います。

After graduation, I would like to work in Japan.

Do not say 働くたいと思う; use 働きたい.

Adding と思う to たい makes it sound like 'I think I would like to...'
