Explanation

たがる describes a third person showing signs of wanting to do something.

Usage

たがっている is common for a desire currently being shown.

Example

弟は新しいゲームをしたがっています。

My younger brother wants to play the new game.

Common Mistake

Do not usually use たがる for yourself; use たい for your own desire.
