Meaning

freshly; just done

Structure

masu-form verb去ます + たて

Explanation

Shows that an action has just been completed and the result is still fresh or noticeable.

Usage

Common with food and fresh states, such as 焼きたて, できたて, and 入れたて.

Example

焼きたてのパンは、外がかりっとしていて香りもいい。

Freshly baked bread is crisp on the outside and smells wonderful.

Common Mistake

Do not attach it to the past form; use the masu-stem plus たて.

Memory Tip

It has just been made, and the freshness is still there.
