Structure

dictionary-form verb + たびに

Explanation

たびに means every time the first event happens, the second event also happens.

Usage

It follows the dictionary form or noun + の.

Example

この歌を聞くたびに、学生時代を思い出します。

Every time I hear this song, I remember my student days.

Common Mistake

Do not use たびに for a one-time event; it emphasizes repeated correspondence.
