Structure

sentence start + だから

Explanation

だから appears at the start of a sentence and draws a conclusion from the previous statement.

Usage

It is common in speech and explanations; formal writing may prefer そのため.

Example

今日は日曜日です。だから、学校は休みです。

Today is Sunday. So school is closed.

Common Mistake

Do not use だから without a previous statement to build on.

Memory Tip

だから is the 'so' that carries the previous sentence into the next one.
