not only... but also

plain form + だけでなく / noun + だけでなく

だけでなく means not only the first part, but also the second. The second part often uses も.

It is common in both speech and writing, and more neutral than ばかりでなく.

彼女は日本語だけでなく、韓国語も話せます。

She can speak not only Japanese but also Korean.

Do not confuse it with limiting だけ; this pattern denies that it is only the first item.
