Explanation

てくれる means someone does something for the speaker's side, benefiting the speaker.

Usage

The subject is the doer; the beneficiary is often the speaker's side and can be omitted.

Example

友だちが駅まで迎えに来てくれました。

My friend came to the station to pick me up.

Common Mistake

If I help someone else, use てあげる.

Memory Tip

Help comes from someone else toward my side: くれる.
