Rejects an overly simple or absolute view, showing that things are not achieved merely by the first condition.

Often corrects the simplistic idea that 'as long as A, then B.'

It is not necessarily true that memorizing many words will naturally make you able to speak.

Do not confuse it with a simple negative; it rejects a generalized judgment.

Hold down an oversimplified conclusion and say it is not that simple.
