Can explain a name, quote hearsay, and in advanced usage can mean 'all possible...' or 'every...'.

This entry focuses on the N1 emphatic generalization, such as 店という店.

台風の後、海沿いの店という店が早めにシャッターを下ろした。

After the typhoon, every shop along the coast closed its shutters early.

Do not remember it only as 'called'; at N1 it often emphasizes 'every single one of that kind.'

It circles every item of the same kind without leaving one out.
