Common for procedures, instructions, and carrying out plans.

説明書に書いてあるとおりに、部品を組み立ててください。

Please assemble the parts exactly as written in the manual.

Do not confuse it completely with ように; とおりに stresses matching or following exactly.

Follow the model without deviating.
