Shows that while someone is in a certain state or situation, the following action such as interrupting, helping, finding, or happening occurs.

Often used in polite expressions such as お忙しいところを.

お忙しいところを、急ぎの確認に対応していただきありがとうございます。

Thank you for handling the urgent confirmation while you are busy.

Do not treat it as exactly the same as とき; it often carries interruption, gratitude, or situational nuance.

The other person is in a situation, and your action enters it.
