Uses the first situation as a condition and then re-evaluates or raises the following issue.

Often shifts the topic toward practical judgment, planning, or problems.

来月公開となると、今週中に主要な不具合を直す必要がある。

If the release is next month, we need to fix the major defects this week.

Do not treat it as exactly the same as なら; it often carries a sense of re-evaluating once that is the case.

Once the condition is set, the following judgments rearrange.
