Structure

noun + ならいざしらず

Explanation

ならいざしらず means if it were the preceding case it might be understandable, but the actual case is different.

Usage

It is often used to criticize inappropriate behavior.

Example

新人ならいざしらず、経験者がこのミスをするのは問題だ。

If it were a newcomer, that might be understandable, but it is a problem for an experienced person to make this mistake.

Do not omit the actual contrasting situation.
