Prohibitive な follows the dictionary form and strongly tells someone not to do something.

It appears in warnings, signs, and strong commands; use ないでください for ordinary requests.

危ないから、そこへ行くな。

It's dangerous, so don't go there.

Do not confuse it with the negative form ない; the prohibitive is dictionary form + な.

Dictionary form plus な creates a strong prohibition.
