Explanation

Shows viewing something from a person's or group's standpoint, feelings, or judgment.

Usage

Often describes how the person concerned feels, with the following part giving an evaluation or judgment.

Example

親にすれば、子どもの安全が何より大切だ。

For parents, their child's safety is more important than anything.

Common Mistake

Do not mechanically equate it with にとって; にしたら/にすれば emphasizes the person's standpoint.

Put yourself in that person's position and look from there.
