noun + にする / adjective stem + く / にする

にする means deciding on an option, or making something into a certain state.

Can show choosing something, or intentionally making something into a state.

昼ご飯はカレーにします。

I will have curry for lunch.

Use になる for natural change; use にする for decisions or intentional change.

When you decide on it, use にする.
