noun + にとって

Shows that the following statement is true or meaningful from the standpoint of a person, group, or thing.

Often followed by evaluative words such as 大切だ, 必要だ, or 難しい.

留学生にとって、住む場所を早く決めることはとても大切だ。

For international students, deciding where to live early is very important.

Do not use にとって for a simple action target; use に, を, or に対して depending on the verb.

Stand in someone's position and view the issue: that is にとって.
