Explanation

に決まっている expresses the speaker's strong conviction that something is obviously true.

Usage

It is stronger than ordinary conjecture and often sounds subjectively assertive.

Example

こんなに練習したのだから、うまくいくに決まっています。

Since we practiced this much, it is bound to go well.

Common Mistake

Avoid using it for uncertain facts; it sounds close to 'of course it is true.'

Memory Tip

決まっている feels like 'it is already settled.'
