noun + は / noun + も

は marks topic or contrast; も adds another item to the same set.

Both can replace positions such as が or を, but their functions differ.

私は学生です。妹も学生です。

I am a student. My younger sister is also a student.

Do not say 私はも; usually only one topic/additive particle occupies that slot.

Memorize “ +は/も” as one fixed chunk, then practice by replacing words in the example sentence. Learn the connection first, then the nuance.
