Explanation

ぶりに means doing something again after a period of time.

Usage

It follows a length of time, such as 三年ぶりに or 久しぶりに.

Example

五年ぶりに高校時代の友人に会いました。

I met a friend from high school for the first time in five years.

Common Mistake

Do not attach it to a specific point in time; it takes a time span.
