masu-stem verb + ません

ません is the polite non-past negative verb form. It can describe present habits or future non-actions.

Present or future meaning depends on time words like 今日 or 明日.

今日はテレビを見ません。

I will not watch TV today.

For past negative, use ませんでした, not just ません.

For polite negative, replace ます with ません.
