Explanation

Shows that if things are in the first state, an undesirable result will occur or a goal will not be reached.

Usage

Example

基本問題で迷っているようでは、本番の長文には対応できない。

If you are hesitating on basic questions, you will not be able to handle long passages in the real exam.

Do not use it for positive prospects; it usually means 'this will not do.'
