noun + のような + noun / plain form + ような + noun

Explanation

ような modifies the following noun and says it has qualities or appearance like the preceding item.

Usage

Use のような after nouns.

Example

夢のような時間を過ごしました。

I spent a dreamlike time.

Common Mistake

Do not omit の after a noun.

Memory Tip

ような comes before a noun: 'a ... like...'
