わけだ presents a natural conclusion from the facts given before it, similar to “no wonder” or “that explains why.”

Use it when you understand the reason and summarize the natural result, often with a “now I see” nuance.

昨日ほとんど寝ていないんですか。それで今日は眠いわけですね。

You barely slept yesterday? That explains why you are sleepy today.

Do not treat わけだ as a simple です; it emphasizes that the result follows from a reason.

When a reason appears first, わけだ summarizes the natural result.
