Explanation

Shows planning, judging, or discussing on the basis that the first condition holds.

Usage

Often used in formal style for systems, contracts, analysis, and plan design.

Example

来月のリリースを前提として、今週中にテスト計画を固める。

Assuming a release next month, we will finalize the test plan this week.

Common Mistake

If the first condition does not hold, the following discussion becomes unstable; this differs from an ordinary reason.
