Structure

noun + を込めて

Explanation

Shows that a feeling, wish, prayer, gratitude, or similar emotion is put into an action or object. It often sounds warm, formal, or sincere.

Usage

Common with abstract nouns such as 心, 感謝, 願い, 祈り, and 愛情.

Example

感謝の気持ちを込めて、手紙を書きました。

I wrote the letter with feelings of gratitude.

Common Mistake

Do not use it for simply putting a physical object inside; use 入れる for that.

Memory Tip

込める feels like packing emotion into an action.
