一気に means doing something in one go, or a change happening rapidly in a short time.

Usage

It can describe completing an action or rapid changes in numbers, mood, or situation.

Example

新しい発表のあと、会場の雰囲気が一気に明るくなった。

After the new announcement, the atmosphere in the venue brightened all at once.

Common Mistake

Do not use it for slow continuous change.
