noun + 以外

以外 excludes something from a range or means things other than it.

It often appears with は, にも, or の.

関係者以外は、この部屋に入れません。

People other than those involved cannot enter this room.

Do not confuse it with 以上; one means except, the other means not less than or now that.

Outside the range: 以外.
