verb意向形

The volitional form expresses the speaker's will, proposal, or intention.

The polite counterpart is ましょう; plain forms include 行こう and 食べよう.

週末は家でゆっくり休もう。

Let's rest at home this weekend.

Using plain volitional directly with superiors can be too casual.
