Explanation

Shows that the first item is excluded from discussion, judgment, or conditions.

Usage

Common in evaluations, discussions, planning, and setting conditions.

Example

冗談抜きで、この計画はもう一度見直したほうがいい。

Joking aside, we should review this plan one more time.

Common Mistake

Do not treat it as identical to なしで; 抜きで emphasizes deliberately leaving something out.
