Uses the adverb 決して with a negative expression to strongly deny something, showing certainty or firm resolve.

It must be followed by a negative form such as ない, ません, or ではない.

この約束は決して忘れません。

I will never forget this promise.

Do not pair 決して with an affirmative ending; it requires a negative ending.

決して waits for a strong negative ending.
