The prohibitive uses dictionary form + な to strongly say not to do something.

It is common in signs, warnings, and strong commands.

Do not enter here.

Do not confuse it with exclamatory なあ.

Memorize “禁止形” as one fixed chunk, then practice by replacing words in the example sentence. Learn the connection first, then the nuance.
